Head of Education and Qualification Design
Suzanne has spent almost 20 years working in a variety of roles in the Education sector working with students who range from those with serious learning difficulties to those serving life sentences for serious crimes.
Having worked in many areas of the education sector I have a wealth of knowledge and experience enabling me to to build desirable, effective E- learning packages for educational establishments. from primary and secondary schools through to training providers and even Prison Education
While working as a teaching assistant in a secondary school Suzanne attended university to put herself through a teaching qualification and graduated in 2006 by which time she was teaching ICT in prison education. After 10 years working in this area She went on to deliver a programme of study for gold standard level 3 apprentices through a large training provider.
I have written many courses based on assessment criteria produced by the awarding bodies and judged to be good or outstanding by Ofsted. These skills translate perfectly to producing engaging interactive E -learning content that meets client requirements
She then sought a new challenge and started teaching English, PSHE and Computer science in secondary schools After 2 years doing this Suzanne recognised a need for more online learning materials in response to various reports setting it out as a future requirement. As she identified the lack of time and the required skillset amongst teaching staff to do this themselves, and following several discussions with her business partner, the decision was made to set up Enlighten
Also chosen from a countrywide pool of staff to develop a level 3 gold standard apprenticeship in IT networking including embedding functional skills English and Maths into it. This program was rolled out to all training centres across the UK.
